2010 Summer Season

We continue our schedule of free events on Saturday, September 18th with a jazz concert featuring world renown tenor sax player Frank Wess. He will perform with legendary drummer Victor Lewis, bassist Essiet Essiet and guitarist Joe Cohn.

On the following Saturday, September 25, we will present Hula performances by Pua Ali'i 'Ilima O Nuioka, accompanied by Hawaiian music by Claudia Goddard and Andy Wang, and a bake sale, raffle and more. Pua Ali'i 'Ilima is a new halau (hula school) in NYC under the leadership of Kumu Hula (Hula Master teacher) Vicky Holt Takamine.

For more information on garden events check out our Upcoming Events page. If you'd like to join the garden or hold an event or meeting for a neighborhood organization please send us an email or visit us during open hours.

We are a NYC Compost Project demonstration site. Learn how you can reduce waste and compost at our garden by clicking the NYC Compost Project flyer at the right. Also, check out the results and pictures from our How Green Are You? event held on 6/21/09.
